2007 House Bill 1009: Establishing work groups to periodically review and update the child support schedule.

To create work groups to periodically review and update the child support schedule. The work groups would also examine current laws, rules, and practices concerning child support. The workgroup would consist of 21 members: 4 members of the Legislature and 17 members of various professions appointed by the Governor. The bill also shifts certain child support jurisdictions from the Administrative Office of the Courts to the DSHS Division of Child Support.   Official Text and Analysis.

To require the Division of Child Support (DCS) to convene a work group to continue the work of the 2005 work group and to review the child support guidelines. The substitute also requires the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee, starting in 2010 and every four years thereafter, to analyze child support data, review the application of child support guidelines and the recommendations of the work group.
