2005 Senate Bill 5003: Revising DNA testing provisions

To revise DNA testing provisions and alter the procedure by which convicted felons may request and the state carry out DNA testing. It eliminates the 31 December 2004 expiration date for convicted persons to request post-conviction DNA testing. It also eliminates the requirement that states that after 1 January 2005 all DNA issues must be raised at trial or on appeal. See companion HB 1014.   Official Text and Analysis.
