Introduced by Rep. Steve Conway (South Tacoma) (D) on February 5, 2007
To create a new spirits, beer, and wine nightlife liquor license. This license would allow the holder to sell spirituous liquor by the drink, beer, and wine at retail, for consumption upon the licensed premises. Licenses would only be issued to persons whose business includes the sale and service of alcohol to its customers and has food sales and service incidental to the sale and service of alcohol. The primary business hours must be between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. and the occupancy load of the business premises must be greater than the seating provided. Minors would be allowed on the premises, but not in the areas where alcohol is served. The annual fee for this license would be $2,000. See companion SB 5859.   Official Text and Analysis.
