2005 Senate Bill 5006: Concerning the sale of aquaculture products from state-owned land

To allow aquaculture products produced on leased state-owned aquatic land to be sold by the leaseholder as prescribed by the state department of natural resources. Sales can take place without competitive bid or public auction, so long as they are consistent with statues governing aquaculture leases on state-owned aquatic lands.   Official Text and Analysis.

They testified that this will allow the sale of geoducs into the market by persons who lease state lands. The requirements for the use of the leased lands is specified in the lease agreement.
